Who are these qualifications for?
The Level 3 Award and Certificate in Leadership and Management are ideal for individuals who have leadership and management
responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. They particularly support practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management.

Orthodontic Team Training recommend these qualifications for dental team members who have either clinical or administrative
responsibilities which require leadership and, or management skills.

The qualifications are made up of a wide range of units covering core management skills – such as understanding how to organise and delegate – plus skills in communication, team leadership, change, innovation and managing people and relationships. This flexibility in unit choice allows the qualification to be tailored to meet the needs of the individual and employer.


  • Successful learners can progress to a range of qualifications including:
  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in Coaching and/or Mentoring
  • ILM Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Facilities Management
  • ILM Level 3 Certificate in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship
  • ILM Level 4 Award, Certificate or Diploma in Leadership and Management

How is the programme delivered?

All units are delivered online using our e-learning environment. Students are guided and supported by a Tutor. Each unit of study has guided learning presentations (audio/video) and guided learning workbook. Learners are required to complete an activity log as well as a development plan. Both are available within the e-learning area.


How is the qualification assessed?

The students knowledge, understanding and skills are assessed by the completion of a number of tasks which are designed to
determine the competence of the candidate. The tasks are called assignments, and there are one or more for each unit of study.


How long will the programme take?

Each unit requires 10 or 20 hours of study, depending on the credit value. One credit equals 10 hours of study. Students are given up to 4-weeks (per unit) to complete their study and an additional 2-weeks to submit their assignments.


How much does the programme cost?

Unit cost (including assessment) - £100 each
E-learning registration - £20 (annual)
Fees are payable at the point of registration and are non-refundable.
